- Mattel to Announce New MOTU Movie Toylines for 2026?
According to Preternia.com, Mattel is set to announce two new toylines in early 2026 in preparation for the upcoming Masters of the Universe Film (June 2026). The two toylines, labeled FIRST ONES and CHRONICLES, will focus on the highly anticipated MOTU live-action film and will serve as movie tie-in merchandise. Mondo’s 200x style 1/12 scale Skeletor will open for preorder on December 9, 2025. You can preview it and sign up for alerts at the preorder page. Skeletor is based on the the character’s appearances in the 200x era. The regular release of the figure will feature two halves of his sword, two heads, a cape, a Havoc Staff, and three sets of hands. In the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, eagle-eyed He-Man fans spotted a Masters of the Universe-themed sleeping bag on the bed of a new character, Derek Turnbow. While we won’t reveal the plot details surrounding the scene so as not to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet, it does appear in a pretty tense scene. Stranger Things has frequently featured He-Man related memorabilia, from shots of the actual toys in the scene to the Filmation He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon running in the background. - An interview with Toby Sulianto aka MotUDad
