It's based on Nintendo in the 80's and where the "blowing in the cartridge" technique came from-- I tried to sneak in a few he-man references even though he-man was pretty much defunct by 1989, but, I couldn't resist being a big he-man fan. (and being surrounded by 80's the whole movie)
Check it out! Ton's of 80's pop culture references. It's a bit long so make sure you have 56 minutes to kill--it pays off by the end! A few guest stars too including Mr. Larry "Lion-O" Kenney himself and certain rockstar who sang one of the themes in Transformers the Movie.
..it could have used some Duck Hunt,, with zapper.
(which was the prop gun in '87 Masters)
Watching all the way to the end was worth it.
Thanks for checking it out, Eternian-King Paul. That's a good point-- no zapper! We had multiple zappers on
hand during production but for some reason never had a scene with one in it. Somehow we managed to fit in a power pad, rob the robot, the NES Advantage, power glove, and a barrel ton of games-- you would THINK a zapper would be somewhere!
