Great way to ruin another line Hasblow.
Oy. Having to watch and refresh HasbroToyStore constantly all day, every day. We always go on about Mattel, but Hasbro reminds us at times how terrible they can be too.

While we're still waiting for an official announcement, I'm willing to bet that the SDCC version will just have special packaging and maybe an exlcusive Han in Carbonite. I am pretty sure there will still be a retail version of Boba Fett.

Maybe the only difference will be the colors of his costume. Empire vs Jedi. Time will tell!

Either way, you guys are totally right...Hasbro's SDCC exclsuives are the hardest to get. I didn't even bother with them last year, because even though I'm at SDCC I just don't have the time to wait in 2 lines for several hours just for a chance to get the exclusives.

So I'm definitely holding out hope Fett will also be a retail figure.

Given how the announcement is worded I'm sure the only thing distinguishing the SDCC exclusive as exclusive is the fact it has special packaging and comes with carbonite Han. They're never going to keep a fan-favorite like Fett exclusive, no way. So don't worry about it, there'll be a regular version soon enough.

Just make sure you support the line at retail so it lasts long enough.

Heck yeah Fett will be available later. It's be like throwing money away otherwise. A good SDCC version would really be Holiday Special or prototype (toy or costume!) colors.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

I imagine the SDCC version's block will be a simple block. Hasbro would likely make a true figure of Han with the block later, possibly with different deco (melting, transluscent like the vintage version, something).

Or for a future Han they could maybe release one where you clip the figure into the back or something, if this one is a solid piece.

Ditto. I have no doubt Fett will be available later on but I want the Carbonite Han just as much as Fett.

I hope so, my chances are getting this are not too good. I may not collect the whole line, but I'll probably end up doing a 6' inch Jabba collection, and what's Jabba's court without his throphy?

Speaking of Jabba, I damn well hope Oola doesn't become a future SDCC exclusive.

Not sure, I just got around to watching it again on youtube this time and the sound worked fine. Nice interview.

So I'm looking forward to this line. So many SW characters I'd love to have in 6" scale. Interested to see what the other four in 2013 will be.

Also, what's the deal with Maul's head on the cloaked version? Does it move at all or is it all one peice?
