Are you happy with the size of the entrance of Castle Grayskull?

4. Lowering the Jaw Bridge door into the base for a taller opening

YES! YES! YES! TOTALLY BODACIOUS!

The front doorway being WAY too small is my only real issue with the prototype.
Fix this one (glaring) issue, and I'm good.

We need a bigger entrance (and a thinner base)

We need just few inches and the castle will be perfect!
Just look at these pictures!


He-Man's head is touchin' the teeth of the Castle!
Just few inches and look how Castle Grayskull Man already looks perfect near the entrance!

But if it's not enough just look at this picture: the Four Horsemen can find a way to have a larger entrance, without the base the problem is solved!

I've thought of an "easy" solution for the infamous CG small entrance: add a lower part to the jaw bridge, make it a little taller and "carve" the rocky base underneath. The problem at the moment is that once open the door gets in the way (like a step) in the entrance and takes away too much space. Result: the figures aren't able to pass through. By "carving" the rocky base underneath the spot where the jawbridge "falls" when it's open and by lowering the hinge, the door would not become a "step" any more and about an inch will be saved. This would allow the figures to pass and would not be too bad design-wise. What do you think?

This poll should have had a few more options. I wish it was an inch bigger, but I'm not unhappy with it either so I voted Yes. I DO think Mattel should re-think the drawbridge and drop it down an inch to the base level to make it slightly bigger. They could do this easily and just extend the height of the door a bit to accomodate. I think this would make alot of collectors happy!!!

They should open it up an inch or two. On the foam model there was enough space for He-Man on top of Battle Cat to fit through. It looks great but that really needs to be changed.

I don't understand, if you wish is was an inch bigger this means that you're unhappy with the size...
However I understand that you are on our side, you need, as we need, a bigger entrance and that's what matters!

No, the jawbridge should open so that it's flush with the table surface so that there is no "diving board" effect. This could increase the entrance height by almost two inches. That might be enough for He-Man riding Battle Cat to enter.

Get rid of the base and Wind Raider floor and use that plastic to elongate the castle.

I'm overall happy with how Grayskull turned out. But the jawbridge should be recessed into the base; it just looks better overall. It's kooky to tell people to cancel their pre-orders than to elongate the jawbridge on a work-in-progress sculpt.

Yes I am happy with the size, if they change it cool but if not I am more than pleased.

I'm definitely not planning on canceling mine but I am a little shocked that the doorway turned out so small. That really should have been the primary feature that everything else was built around and yet it feels like it had to be squeezed in. I think the video we saw where Scott had the cardboard mockup certainly tried to convey the idea that He-Man on Battle Cat would look perfect riding out of the mouth of the castle. Of course now He-Man pretty much has to stoop to come through the door.

I voted no. I would like to see it an inch or two taller. I'm worried a lot of characters won't be able to fit in the entrance (King Grayskull, ALL the female characters, Ram-Man because of his thickness...this becomes a lot of characters. ).

I'm with my bud here... well I voted no, but I'm sure it will be fixed. Same with the grate, I'm sure it will be in the same box as the castle when it's all said & done.

I'm happy with the overall size, sculpt, and accessories of the castle...BUT the entrance is the only thing that I'm disappointed in. That elevated base in the front is pushing the Jawbridge up, causing He-Man to bump his head, and leaving it sticking out like a diving board. I would be happy with just an extra 1/2" more of an opening if they would just cut down the base in front of the Jawbridge, and lower the hinge joint, so that it would provide enough room to make it come down flush with the ground. The photoshopped solution presented above is exactly what I'd like to see...Everything else on the castle can be left as is!

I'm happy with teh size of teh castle, but I would like it better if the Jaw Brindge sat lower, flush with the floor, giving us more room.

Well maybe after seeing the feedback they will go back into this and make it work. I mean this isn't the final so let these guys do their thing as they definitely stay aware of our response from time to time. All that base would need is some shaving down...
