I'll tell you what I've gladly traded those eight hours of sleep each night for. When it's three in the morning and you're exhausted and you know you need to get up in four hours for work and you're in dimmed lights changing you baby's diaper, making them feel clean and warm and safe and protected and they look up at you and their eyes meet yours for a forever-moment that sears into your heart and imprints on your soul and your essence for all the rest of the days of your life and you see a grin break on the corners of their mouth... If there is anything sweeter or more precious in life, I cannot possibly imagine what that might be.
