Love it![]()
Hey,
here is my latest custom weapon. Some time ago a fellow collector commissioned me to do a Sword of Power that matches She-Ra's Sword of Protection in shape and size with a handle big enough for male MotUC figures. I thought this was a great idea and additionally I made a second sword that had the same shape but has the size of the regular Powersword. The swords are as usually modeled using 3d studio max and printed by shapeways. The swords are painted using citadel colors.
Nothing more to say so here are the pics!

I love the design but it looks like the blades have a rough texture. Do they or is it just the way it looks in the pic.

Oh yeah that is amazing cool.
Stellar job! The grain on this blade looks a lot less pronounced in these pics than some of your other weapons. Have you found a way to reduce the grain when printing? Or just good priming and sanding?

Thank you all, guys
It's still shapeways's "white, strong & flexible - polished" material. I have just found out that the best way of painting the shapeways material is exactly two layers of paint (three if you count the finish). I had the best results priming it grey and the painting the colors.
