I won't begrudge him getting older, but I think he should adopt a beard and Jedi Master robes like Obi Wan had. I doubt very much Sir Alec was in superior shape when he played his role, those long elder's robes cover a lot.
Well in the case of Carrie Fisher and the way she looks might be because of the side effects of the medication she takes for bi-polar.
