This is beautiful. Awesome work there.

This is my first version of Castle Grayskull. I created from about 200 photos from my stock photogrpahy and using a model skull as well as green screen shot of motuc He-Man and Battlecat.
I went for a 200x style mixed with my own ideas as i love the green vegetation from that series.
the next version i want to create will depict the spine like filmation style .
Cheers

wow there are he-man and battle cat
Wow! That's pretty darn awesome! The only thing that I don't care for is the 200X "H" symbol on the skull (wasn't a big fan of that on the 200X playset either), but otherwise this is really incredible.
I do like that you gave the sky that dark, cloudy look. I always liked in the Filmation cartoon, how it was always dark with lightening, etc, happening around the castle (regardless of what the weater was like elsewhere). That's something that I really wish had carried over into 200X.
It definately gives Grayskull a more realistic feel while still staying true to the essence of what it should look like. If a MOTU movie ever gets made, something like this would be a good choice for how Grayskull should look in it.![]()

I was about to write back saying I would love to see you do a Snake Mountain.
I just put it up as a wallpaper and I just noticed you have He-man on Battle Cat on the picture. I completely missed it on the first time I looked at your picture. I didn't even read your description. (I didn't have my coffee this morning) I love your sense of scale on this painting. Castle Grayskull is massive as it should be.

Love it! As already pointed out, it's got a wonderful sense of scale. Further, it manages to look both intimidating and abandoned--something that was key in the original MOTU mythos. Great job!!!

Excellent work! An imposing iteration indeed.
The realism of the skull & the placement of the * symbol are well done. The greenery gives it an organic feeling, as if the stone has a skin. The asymmetrical towers suit it too.

this is the Classic version i was working on but i personally preferred the other face. any other opinions welcome

The classic one is cool, but I agree on the other face. I do like the "angry" eyes better. It would be cool to see a cross between the two (the 'angry' face with the forhead design on this classic one).

OOOOOHHH....man, I missed the original posting! Just to comment on the new pic: I agree, the angry eyes look better.
In general, though: WOW. Very well done! Reminds me of some covers to the Lord of the Rings. Epic, mysterious, and solitary.

both are absolutely awesome but I agree the one in the first post is a little bit better
This most certainly qualifies as necroposting but I just wanted to say that during a search I found your art work here and also decided to use it as a desktop background. Love it!! Beautiful colors and composition. I went with the first (the 200x style) as well, but both look quite nice.

"We have a Ram-Man"
Nice job! But I think the first pic would look a lot better without the 200X "cross" symbol.
