new is better in that I would like a unique one for each. After the amazing job on Octavia, Mantenna deserves. As had already been said, if we have to lose something on 'Tenna, I'd scream "crossbow" as well.
But if you're going to do it, do a "Classicized" sculpt inspired by classic bows but the 200x mantenna style. Making it yellow would be cool.

Those crossbows were pretty lame. What was up with the latch thing in the middle? Was that supposed to be some sort of action feature?
^Mostly agreed. My MOTUC Grizzbacca carries the black crossbow and King Hsss holds the staff Rattlor came with.
I think he should get the regular MOTUC cross bow but in yellow

I'd be really happy to see the 200x crossbow brought into the classics line. It's really nice to see improvements like this and Mantenna having his own, unique crossbow would be excellent. Besides, I think the yellow would look better with his color scheme rather than gray.
