    My First Attempt at Customizing

    Hi Everyone,

Well I thought I would take a stab at customizing and post some pics with a nudge from my buddies on the org. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to provide feedback. I have been very lucky to have guidance from Motu Mulder, E-Man, Josephus and Tyke so please feel free to comment. Enjoy

    You have been busy!

Nice and clean work, you've got a steady hand (pin striping on Zodak is excellent).
And what did you use for Icer's mittens and feet they look great!

These look super, curious what will be next after you had a rest and a breather after these.
Nope.... nothing here! Just a link to my site http://motumulder.webklik.nl/page/fotoalbum with customs!

I've said it before and I'll say it here again. You are up there with the best vintage customizers out there!
And I'm not considering myself to be 'up there' although I've been customizing for about 6 years now. Your use of parts is great, your painting skills are flawless, your choice of characters is awesome (Lodar!!!, GARN!!!) so if this is just the beginning I can't wait to see how you progress in the years to come. Great!

Thanks so much guys, really really appreciate the feedback. I was pretty hesitant to post them because I see so many awesome figures so I'm glad you like em'.

To answer MotuMulder's question on the mits... i used apoxie sculpt on top of the casted arms and legs. I couldn't figure out a way to cast the white plastic and the clear resin without doing two seperate pieces so i just used the 2 part apoxie sculpt mix. i guess i could have just sculpted first then casted and painted but hind site is 20/20 right?

Here are the recipes I used for them:

    Fang Man:
    Sculpted head
    Adam body

    Scorpia -
Teela with lots of apoxie sculpt
Tail is made with "sculpty" and a wire frame so it moves and is posable which i liked

    Icer -
Sculpted head then casted with dyed clear resin
body parts - he-man arms and legs and torso

    Garn -
Triclops - just re-sculpted the head to give him the mo-hawk

    Bear Gladiator -
Galaxy warrior Tiger man head - shaved down and sculpted
    Beast man body

    Cricket Gladiator -
    Modulok arms and torso
Multi bot legs - heavily modified
multi bot head shaved down big time and sculpted
head, arms and waist articulate but legs don't .(

    Lodar -
    Jitsu body
    Triclops Armor
    molded beastmans shoulder pads added
    sculpted everything else

I have a few more I will post this week for critique. Thanks again!
