I'm not surprised either. It is so disappointing since they have so many great brands. I agree with everything you said. They make way too many variants of characters in both their boy and girl lines. When will companies learn that not all kids want 50 different versions of Iron Man or Pinkie Pie. I'm sure parents don't want to spend their hard earned money on duplicates. I do think that if done right Jem could be some major competition for Monster High, but seeing as how these other properties have been handled I doubt it.
