What's the SDCC Grayscale Frankie?

The Grayscale Frankie was a SDCC exclusive launch doll, she is identical to the general release Frankie but shes Black & White (and tones of Gray -hence Grayscale) -And Silver

Her box is all black on silver foil base, and she came in a black mailer box (like the MOTUC figs white version) covered in silver cob webs!

I kind of like them, but I I'm unable to see the similarities between those dolls and their Universal Classic Monster counterpart. Guess that's not good

I agree. I think part of it is that they don't have the rights to the Universal Classic Monsters(the wolf girl is said to be the daughter of "the werewolf" and kinda looks like a cat) and also that this line is targeting pre-teen girls. I still like the idea but I wish they looked more monster-like.

It doesn't say Universal anywhere on the packaging. They're just the offspring of classic monsters, not those particular interpretations. Lagoona Blue is the offspring of "The Sea Monster" not "The Creature From The Black Lagoon" which is a Universal-exclusive character. And like Mr. Shokoti said, Clawdeen is the daughter of "The Werewolf" not "The Wolfman."

I LOVE that Grayscale Frankie! Even though, they AREN'T based on the Universal versions, that's immediately what I thought when I saw her in black and white like that! VERY cool! Guess I'm off to eBay!

I really like Ghoulia Yelps but Hoyt Hyde has changed what I originally thought was the line's system: making classic male monsters into females(Dracula, The Creature, Frankenstein's Monster, Wolf Man, The Mummy) and female monsters into males(Medusa). i just saw these this past week and think they're amazing. I have 2 Daughters (9.5 and 3) and they like Barbie/Bratz so i hope they will enjoy these.

My bad, everyone. It's Holt Hyde, not Hoyt. I've been watching True Blood Season 2 and it features a character named Hoyt and it got stuck in my head. Also, Deuce Gorgon lists his best friends as Jackson Jeckyll, so are they two halves of the same coin?

That was actually the movie I was looking for(I didn't even remember the Tim Daley movie until I saw the poster), but I felt the picture worked better on the poster that I used since it showed an actual transformation. There was also an exploitation movie with the same premise as Sister Hyde that came out a year later called The Adult Version Of Jekyll & Hide.

Absolutely, as A kid (and even now) I loved any music videos that had monsters in them, so Thriller was the ultimate. but another one I adored was this one



Obviously based on 'Island Of Doctor Moreau',I seems Diana has been 'Experimenting' On shipwreck survivors! -Also snacking...on parts of them! lol!

I'm not as much of a concert guy as I was in my teens and 20's. I think the last time I saw a female solo act was Alanis Morrisette. I barely remember it but I do know she didn't wear masks or cones on her boobs.
