I just bought "Out of Oz" by Gregory Maguire - the last book of The Wicked Years, though I don't know when I'll be getting around to read it. I'm so busy right now.

Don't remember. I often buy large amounts of books at garage sales and so on. That was what I did the last time I remember buying any.

Does the Power and Honor Foundation catalogue count?

If not, my last book was the Bud Spencer biography.

I hadn't read most of the Marvel comics run before so i've been collecting IDW's reprints. Most of the stories have been pretty good up to now, but it looks like this is the point where the quality of both the writing & art goes downhill.
I have the entire Marvel run plus alot of the comics that came after before IDW took over on a DVD.

    Last books I bought were:
The Unwanteds (the wife brought it home)
The Secrets Of Nicholas Flemel: The Alchemyst
    Inheritence

Bought and read within the last 30 days:

Suzanne Collins, 'The Hunger Games,' 'Catching Fire,' and 'Mockingjay'
Ransom Riggs, 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children'
Seth Grahame-Smith, 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'
    Chuck Palahniuk, 'Fight Club'
    MT Anderson, 'Feed'
Gary Shteyangart, 'Super Sad True Love Story'

(Admittedly, I read 'Hunger Games' and 'Fight Club' because I am going to assign these two books for my classes next quarter, 'Feed' will end up on one of my syllabi as well).

I was so happy when Sailor V got translated! I bought copies of the original Japanese about 15 years ago.

    VENOM - Collecting Venom #1 - #5

Never bought any of these new Venom comics as I didn't like the idea of anyone other then Brock being Venom plus I am not a great fan of military stuff, all that standing to attention, hoorahing and YES SIR stuff bores the hell out of me to the point of annoyance.

But it was on sale for £5 so I thought I may as well give it a go because, hey...it's the Venom symbiote so it might be cool.

    Story...sucks
    Dialog...sucks.
    art...super sucks
    Flash Thompson as Venom...sucks

    in short Venom sucks

also what is it with jocks who are bullies becoming war heroes?

Flash bullied Peter Parker all through high school and was later made into a war hero and in Smallville Whitney used to bully Clark (which was quite brave considering Clark could have pulled him in half and threw his corpse into orbit...around Jupiter) and he later became a war hero when he died in action. Cuz yeah, jocks / bullies make the best heroes

The last two books I've read are the latest in the Star Trek: Typhon Pact series. I really must say that all the books that have followed the events of Nemesis and the series' respective endings have all been topnotch

Is that by Laura something or other.

I had a preview copy of that many moons ago and I hated it. I was like oh man here we go again. Moody dark man and love struck teenage girl.

I dont remember the last book I bought but via Amazon Vine I got The Second Empress by Michelle Moran.
