You know, I do check out the chat room, but there's rarely anyone there. I enjoy chatting with others and I was wondering if anyone might have a way to increase participation. It seems to me it might be a good idea to set up a definite time each week (one evening per week?) when we can have a regular chat. Everyone has a busy life, but at least this way orgers would know this is the most likely time to run into each other.

Any thoughts?

There always used to be a scheduled group chat on Wednesday evenings. I don't know if that helps.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out. I hope others will as well. Having a dialogue with others who have similar interests can be entertaining.

That worked pretty good back in the day.

Find a time and days that average out for folks.

Not to mention I've got classes from 7-10 from September to mid-November and I usually work 2-8:30.

I'd love to do a group chat again someday, though!

You know, I'd suggest that the best way to do that is schedule regular sessions so everyone who want to chat can find some company -- maybe MWF at 8 p.m. EST or something. Problem with doing it scattergun is that no one knows when anyone will be there.

I've met a couple of fans there and I've really enjoyed it, so how about we give it a shot?

How come none of you guys (or gals

) seems to want to jump onto the chat room? I think it's a great place for everyone to convene and, of course, take pot shots at me for creating N/A and, for those who don't know, my recent debacle on rangerboard.com. (Oh, heavens, will my career survive?!

)

Anyway, how 'bout we set a time and date for us all to come together -- alway a good thing

-- and chat a bit? After all, the chat room's not there for nuthin. ya know!

Yep. I agree. Just went there myself and it was dead. Perhaps we can prevail upon our kind mods and administrators to try to set up a date and time where we can all focus and convene? I really like the idea of instant feedback.

We used to have that, I remember it was Wednesday night. but, you know that eventually died out too

that is the main problem with chat, the time differences we all have. I for one am constantly chatting with Darth Latveria and Patreek on aim but due to time zones this is usually between 1 and 5 AM for me...just lucky I am a night person then
