Shipped December 5th. Still. Waiting.
Mine's still in the abyss that is Ontario, CA.
Ram-Man and Jitsu were pretty much the last two figures I had on my checklist of figures I owned or wanted as a kid.
Barring any particular miracle (as I imagine Mantenna and Two Bad might get...
Those were some of the last vintage figures I wanted anyway. I already got my Grayskull preorder in. Unless something amazing happens, I am pretty much done with the line.
Overall, I have to...
No e-mail for my preorder yet, either.
Anybody else surprised this is something ELSE Matty has borked up?
As I'm going through the collecting stuff (slowly but surely)... I'm tempted to recommend this one be tossed into some sort of "Rumored but never produced" category.
The only thing I've found that proves that this was even a concept was a picture from a catalog I found on Grayskull Museum. Is there ANY real proof this set existed?
And Mattel wonders why people get angry with them.
Like I said.... DR must know something Matty doesn't want us to know. Because for 5 years now, they're the #1 problem with this line.
Because to be older means to be closer to death.
Horrible service has also contributed greatly to a loss of 'marketing steam'. To my friends, I tell them to only get involved in this line if they LOVE the property. If their love for He-Man isn't...
Getting nigh on 5 years in.... and we still have issues? Wow, way to go, Mattel. I don't know if the fact things are still fugged up is the worst part...or that there seems to be ZERO...
But where oh where is the second part?;)
What I have to say about that isn't repeatable here.
Yeah, the market is just plain weird on eBay. My company no longer bothers with most average collectibles. We would have to get them at a HUGE discount... we're talking pennies on the dollar to...
I would love if they just were honest online retailers and just LEFT EVERY FIGURE UP ON THEIR SITE UNTIL IT'S LEGITIMATELY GONE.
Not sure about totals myself but... I got: Thunder Punch He-Man, Dragon Blaster Skeletor, Sorceress, Filmation Randor, Mekaneck, Kobra Khan, Spikor and pre-ordered Castle Grayskull. Missed out on...
Took a bit of a break during the holidays. Should be doing some more here in the coming weeks:)
If you guys want to throw some good scans and all my way, I'd be glad to upload them!
Just label it the right way and I'll see what I can do:)
No problem, I'm quite enjoying myself:)
As my way of saying thank you to the awesome people here at the Org, I'm going through and giving the Collecting section a bit of a facelift. Trying to standardize the information that's presented...
I hope you like the results:)
Great stuff, but something I learned is that for shading on clothes and all, adjust the saturation levels of the COLOR you're using. It'll give a less plastic-like finish.
Yeah, I gave up shipping internationally myself. Too many with strange instructions, asking me to lie about the value of what I was shipping and so on. It just got to be too much for a simple...
Oof, those Star Trek figures... still see some in the clearance at the Manchester, CT Toys R Us.
My wallet thanks Matty Collector for not doing reissues of popular figures/selling off QC stock. Wouldn't want to sell them all, would you!:P
For the Filmation style stuff, I'd say to cut down on the details of the outfit some to really give it the right look. We all know how characters would lose detail from the model sheet by the time...
Freakin' awesome. I will definitely be enjoying this!
Yeah, I have no idea what sort of IT experience he has but uhhhhh.... rolling out huge new changes all at once is usually a recipe for disaster.
Yeah, a bit too much on the ripple effect. Needed to be semi-translucent.
