Obviously there is a difference between a new character and a new variant of an existing character. However, they are both still NEW figures, no matter how you slice it.

Yes, he's a new figure. It's not reissue Hordak, it's Spirit of Hordak.

It's just as much a new figure as any variant like Dragon Blaster Skeletor, Thunder Punch He-Man or Snake Man-At-Arms are....

Like most, I received my subscription Fistos. So I have need need for a Fisto re-issue.

True, Power-Con is much smaller than SDCC. However, the size of the convention isn't the only factor. It would depend on the amount of units produced for the Con. Without knowing that number, we can...

I voted for an even 3-3.

If you think Illumina being available only at Power-Con would kill any hopes of MOTUC continuing past 2013, I don't think your speculation is even close to realistic.
