My first thought was Hurt was the Doctor responsible for whatever happened in the Time War. So that while Smith is the 11th Doctor - as in he's the 11th to go by 'Doctor', he's the 12th regeneration...

Just saw it - I really enjoyed it - a LOT more than IM2, certainly. I thought it was funny, and the action sequences were really well done...for once I felt like the 3D was contributing to a movie...
