The Bitter Rose was formed by a goddess, who climbed Rose Mountain everyday looking for her warrior husband to return. Her tears watered the ground and grew a rose after her disappearance, leaving it standing as the only thing growing on Rose Mountain. When plucked, the rose drawn its owner's energy to stay alive, and Rose Mountain “grows angry” and falls apart without it.
