Description
One of the most iconic images from the Masters of the Universe comes to life in this interactive playset by Mattel. The Castle Grayskull playset contained many interactive features to keep kids busy for hours on end. Such features included a trap door that is activated when the throne is rotated, a working elevator, a lockable drawbridge door, and a laser canon mounted on the roof. The set also includes a weapons rack which had several weapons only released in this set, as well as recolored weapons released with figures from the line.
Fun facts:
1) BBC Weather Announcer Kirsty McCabe provoked controversy when referring to Ibrox Stadium as "Castle Grayskull".
2) In the film Hot Fuzz, police officer Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) says "By the power of Grayskull!" when shown the stockpile of weapons collected by a local farmer. This line is later repeated by Sgt. Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), after seeing Danny's collection of action movie DVDs.
3) In the film Kickin' It Old Skool the lead character, Justin (Jamie kennedy) shouts "By the power of Grayskull" as he first discovers the many wonders of the internet.
